OUR VISION

Promoting integral human development: taking a long-term view. In all its partnerships and projects, Acting for Life places people, families and the aim of a better life for everyone at the heart of its activities. We rely on an active social base and strong mobilization of all sectors to help the forgotten of the Earth to stand up straight and come alive again.

Overcoming the destitution of the poorest: using appropriate economic and social tools, Acting for Life seeks to rebuild links between "North" and "South", between "emerging countries" and "LDCs" (least developed countries), going beyond the logic of caste, class, religion or status. We guarantee the effectiveness and efficiency of the resources we handle.

Giving back confidence in the future, enabling families to bring up their children in dignity. Acting for Life seeks to be the catalyst for initiatives ordinary people can take to stay in control of their own development, whilst ensuring the sustainability that will guarantee the development of future generations.

Getting back everyone's dignity, ours and theirs: through fraternal sharing with the poorest. Working directly with local communities and NGOs, Acting for Life endeavours to promote the only justice worth having: Justice for everyone.

OUR SKILLS

With a presence in 40 countries, Acting for Life assesses situations, identifies partners and projects and instigates training and North/South and South/South exchanges.

We provide human, technical, logistical and financial support. We continuously monitor and evaluate the programmes identified and selected with our local partners. We arrange public and private funding packages, with high-quality reporting to financial partners. We build on the lessons from experience for everyone's benefit. Our ability to work with the private sector involves us in social enterprise and the establishment of ad hoc businesses.
